The building is ‘constructed’ by the actions of those who occupy is transparent and interstitial spaces. Conceived as a visually and spatially transparent volume in the midst of a dense urban campus, the structure is composed of a double membrane: a translucent skin of glass channels and a wall of pre-cast concrete. The inner wall penetrates the enclosed plenum and glass skin at various locations to provide openings into the museum and views out from the building itself.
