18th Street Building

The corner of 18th and 3rd street is the heart of San Francisco’s Eastern District, a light industrial neighborhood transitioning to address the city’s need for residential densification.  This mixed use residential building provides 19 apartments, underground parking, and ground level commercial space.  We embraced the context in form and materiality; the exterior is clad in corrugated steel siding at various densities, and wood framed bay windows provide tenants with generous views of the shipyard and bay.
