Fogscape – Cloudscape

Min Day was invited to create two rooms in the Met showcase home. We called them “Fogscape” and “Cloudscape” based on the inspiration we took from the fog that rolls into San Francisco.

  • Type Residential
  • Location San Francisco, California
  • Date 2009

Asked to design a “Jack & Jill” bedroom with bathroom connector on the top floor of a large San Francisco home we began with the notion of the rooms as dream-like abstracted landscape. We call our rooms “Fogscape” and “Cloudscape” based on the inspiration we took from the fog that rolls into San Francisco. We treated the 3 rooms as a suite with a twist on the traditional ideas of children’s rooms and the typical guest room / office. Fogscape includes a rolling wall revealing either a desk or Murphy bed and Cloudscape features our Stones Table and custom Clouds wallpaper.
