Fogscape – Cloudscape

“Fogscape” and “Cloudscape” draw upon elements of San Francisco's ever-changing sky.

  • Type Residential
  • Location San Francisco, California
  • Area 450 sf
  • Date 2009

Asked to design a “Jack & Jill” bedroom with bathroom connector on the top floor of a large San Francisco home we began with the notion of the rooms as dream-like abstracted landscape. We call our rooms “Fogscape” and “Cloudscape” based on the inspiration we took from the fog that rolls into San Francisco. We treated the 3 rooms as a suite with a twist on the traditional ideas of children’s rooms and the typical guest room / office. Fogscape includes a rolling wall revealing either a desk or Murphy bed and Cloudscape features our Stones Table and custom Clouds wallpaper.

Sequence shows panel sliding to cover desk or bed.

The Stones Table, a custom-designed table that may be used whole or configured in separate pieces.
